Nice ripe Ronde de Bordeaux and Ischia Black

Finally getting to have more than one fig at a time.  The Ronde de Bordeaux is really producing early quality figs.  Can't image what a 5 year old tree would do.

It's really hard to say.  At this stage when they are that ripe they are both great.  The RdB has what I think people are describing as an acidic note on top of the sweetness which is different and I know the Ischia Black can be even better.  I had one a couple of years ago that had the fig honey dripping out and was like raspberry preserve at the eye where it had really dehydrated so maybe the Ischia Black can even stay on the tree longer before I pick the next one.  I like figs soon after turning color too and not when they are very sweet and dehydrated.
