No more - Hardy Chicago Cuttings available - all gone.

I will send 3 or 4 cuttings from my in ground tree for $9 postage.  The excess covers fees, expenses and the occasional lost package.  You will get a tracking #.  My PP is

[rjc+paypal]

The tree was bought from Edible Landscaping in 1993.  You should PM me before you send payment to be sure I have some left.  Including your name and address in the PM will be helpful.  I have enough for at least 50 people.  Let me know if you want 2 or 3.

I only ship to the US and will not be responsible if your state doesn't alow the package to get to you.  No refunds as I incur the mailing expense.

Canada does require a phytosanitary certificate so it's cheaper to buy from http://brugmansia-quebec.com/Catalog.html than for me to ship there.

Canada has a great page that makes it easy to find import regulations

Still available.  You can get 4 cuttings if you want since there's not as much interest as I thought there'd be.

bob, people do not know what they are missing out on. or most of the members already have Hardy Chicago. from what i heard Hardy Chicago is one of the best and readily available fig out there. i held off on HC for longest until one of the generous member provided me with rooted cutting.

Check for PM, although you just stated you had plenty, I was waiting to hear back from you before PP.

Thanks!

Everyone who's paid has a tracking # in a PM.  Plenty left still.

There are young trees on ebay.  Or you could make them from cuttings  ;)  Still plenty left.

HC is the one variety I get asked about most frequently when talking to people that are just getting interested in figs. I'll take you up on your generous offer so I can have some extras to share. Sending PM and PP your way (giggle, sorry I have young kids)...

A couple of months ago, while at a local Lowes, I noticed a bunch of leaf distressed fig
plants in ~1/2 gal pots. Plants were less than 1 foot tall but with well shaped multiple branches.
There were more figlets on them than leaves! Explained to me, the lack of leaves was
b/c of a lack of watering (the master in-charge was away for a few days).

They were labeled Chicago Hardy (I presume it is eq. to HC?).
I ended up buying 5 @ 1/2 price ($5 ea.) for friends.

Yes George you may recall correcting me on Chicago Hardy around 2008 thats what we always called it here but........

other names
Mongibello
Besonhurst Purple - town in NY

Chicago Hardy

One of my favorites because of its rich figgy taste but i presume there are different strains floating around.  ; )

Received them a day ago. Much obliged, thanks again!

Anyone who pays on weds can get in on the next shipping date.
