Salam ,

http://www.confreriefigue-caromb.com/La-figue-longue-noire-de-Caromb.html
Noire De caromb looks pretty good figs in France Region ( from internet information ),
Does it also grow well  in other area such as US and Canada or out side France countries..?

Thanks
Zaitun.

Salam alek Zaitun,

I have an NDC ( 1st year plant ). It is roughly 2ft tall now but next season I plan on re-potting it into a larger pot.
I had the pleasure of sharing a couple ripe ones between myself and a fuzzy tailed tree rat.
This variant appears to be an aggressive fruit producer. In the last couple months it produced fruits but a wee bit too late in the season.

This variant is very promising.

Than you for sharing Zaitun

Waalaikum sallam Rafed ,

Thank you for sharing your experience with Noiere De Caromb figs.

Have a good weekend & Salam .

To me this is a fig of interest, some day I definetly would like to give it a try. It's supposed to be small, so I'm thinking it could ripen a good crop in short season regions. I know there is at least one Canadian nursery who will be offering it in 2013.

Rafed, granted your tree is young so future fruits may differ, but what was fruit size like in comparison to say a Petite Negri or VdB?  Also, overall could you say it is very similar to the previously mentioned or quite different in flavor and texture?

Anyone else have input on this variety?
