Non-fig plant search

Off topic, but does anyone have any spare pomegranate plants they would be willing to part with? PM me please.

Wish I did!  Mine are in containers and weigh a ton, so shipping would be very costly!  You can get cuttings from UC Davis, which is what I did, and they grow easily.  Maybe you should troll craigs list or ebay.  Local options are usually much better.

Good luck!

How easily do green cuttings root? Or would I have to wait until fall?

The cuttings root easily, dormant somewhat easier than green.

When I was reading up on rooting pomegranates, I think I remember various sites saying they rooted easily at any time of the year. Dormant cuttings are always easier however.

The neighbors across the street have a wonderful tree (in both senses), and I started dormant cuttings last winter. Stuck them in bands and put them in the shade. Guess I should check to see how they are doing, lol.
