Nordland Fig ?

This is one i have been thinking about alot latly for adding to my collection of zone 6 cold hardy figs. the fruits i have seen look really good but i have never myself tasted one or know what the ripe time of crops are.

I was wondering if any members have or are growing this fig and might be able to share what they tink about it.

Raintree is selling it on thier site and i am thinking of picking acouple up.

any and all info would be great.
have a wonderful day.

I have a little one. If you are willing to wait I may be able to help you sometime in late Summer or early Fall.

Good luck

I've been wanting this one myself.
Good for you Dave!

well from things i have read it seems to be one of the most cold hardy possibly the most cold hardy. but i cannot say for myself. in zone 6 illinois we usualy get hot summers that seem to last for 5-6 months. with some figs i have i dont even get to the main crop so i am forced to look for shorter season cold blodded kinds of figs. i have a lot of roted cuttings going for my collection with some knowns such as mvsb, rdb, vdb and many more along with some unknowns. i cant wait to see how they do here. really looking forward to Vdb as it sounds wonderful.

Has been a slow grower for me.
