Norella

Congrats on a very special fig!

Great photos of a deliciously syrup filled fig...thanks for sharing Frank.
Confirms my decision to spend $$$ and time to aquire drivewayfarmer's mother tree of this variety, really looking forward to it now!

I have a young Norella tree (and two new cuttings), so I will find out eventually --  but meanwhile can someone compare / contrast with the other Mt Etnas?  I know that Kerry rates Norella highly, built what distinguishes it -- especially taste-wise.  FWIW, my other Mt Etnas seem to bear one fig per node, though my Takoma Violet has a lot of doubles and looks similar to the picture above.

Hey Joe, Norella has a very sweet taste and  Berry Flavor. It is also very Syrupy, Juicy, and grows in clusters! : )

Thanks, Frank.  I'm waiting patiently.  Probably another 2-3 weeks here, at least.

Very nice photo. Looks juicy and tasty. :).

Looks awesome Frank. Thanks for sharing.
