Noss

Noss what Ronde looks like, this is my younger one i gave away the other that was a year older.

Martin I don't know what Noss will think about it but I can tell you that you've got my attention. Maybe with good luck I may be tasting some next year. Thanks for posting, the pictures are great and I can almost taste the figs they look so good.

Great pics, love all three.

They are gorgeous!!

Thank god I still have one that's alive. Lovely pictures, Martin.

Martin....

Vivienne took the words right out of my mouth...you are a master at growing beautiful trees in containers!

The figs in the picture look...well...like a picture!  Perfect.

Enough suckin' up..Time to get technical...

How old is the tree? ... What size pot, in gallons, approx.? ...How many years did you wait for figs?

Thank-you.

Frank

Wow.  I shouldn't look at fig porn before breakfast.

" Wow.  I shouldn't look at fig porn before breakfast."

LOL, especially if you (like me) don't have any ripe figs to go out and pick!

I'm certainly wiping the drool off my chin!
Wow!, wonderful pics!
makes me want to lick my screen! LOL

"LOL, especially if you (like me) don't have any ripe figs to go out and pick!"

Yep - that's about it. Much less not having the fig in question, lol. But that's OK, I was able to go outside just now, pick a nice ripe peach (a white one for spite) and eat that. :)

Thank-you Martin...

Went shopping, and saw some figs in a little plastic basket.  Thanks to your photos, I bought.  Now the store got close to 5 bucks of my money, and the figs are not that great.

Frank

Mmm-mmm-mmmmmmm …
I'm curious about the same things as Frank is, in post #7.
I took a bite out of the computer screen after enlarging that third photo.
Thanks for posting Martin!

Alright you guys... all this talk about trying to taste these figs through the computer, along with the talk about what do you do when you don't have any fresh figs ready to pick yet?  (and I don't either... I'm in zone 5 and it'll be another month or a few weeks anyway).  Well anyway, it caused me to run out to the grocery store and buy some fresh figs.  (Got 'em at Wegmans market).  They're tasty, but not as good as the home-grown kinds.  And surely not as tasty as those RdB figs you're showing... but I guess it'll have to be enough to tide me over for the evening.  :-)

Nice pics.

Mike

Those are beautiful, Martin!

Beautiful tree and figs Martin.  Those pictures are tasty.  My Ronde saw those
pics and said " I want to grow up just like Mommy".  After seeing the results, it
will surely get TLC. Today, I ate some of my Celeste figs, Concord grapes and
ever bearing strawberries and a few of my late blueberries, but that picture said it all.

If you can go outside and pick your own fruit to eat.... Life is good.

I managed not to kill two RDB so maybe in three years?

Having a dream is a good thing!

I think you could make a poster of those split figs and sell it!

Edit:  Ronde pictured is my replacement of one i thought was dead and it came to me as small starter plant end of April 2010.

Darkman show picture of your RdB.
