not seeing roots

After having my cuttings in moss until they showed strong roots, I moved them to cups, now I'm starting to see buds opening and a few even have leaves. They look nice and healthy, but they been in cups for about ten days and I'm still not seeing any roots inside the cups(even though the buds seem to be advancing daily) The temps 75 degrees inside the bin where they are and there's good humidity. Is this normal? The roots were definately in bunches all around the bottom of the cutting at almost an inch long and in thick groups. Should i put the one with leaves on the window sill a few hours a day? Thanks for any help

very normal. and sometimes, you will see bunch of roots in the cup, but don't see any leaves on the top.

As Pete mentioned, I've seen every scenario.  Lots of roots, no activity above the soil.  Then I've seen lots of leaves, but very little roots.  In time, they all balance each other out.  You've got nothing to worry about right now.  I think you'll need some light pretty soon though.  The leaves need light for energy.

Me personally I go from moss or rockwool straight into 32 oz deli containers uncovered on south facing window and watch the moisture through the side of the deli container maybe I add a shot glass full of water once in a week and a half and there fine 99% of the time im using like 70/30 perlite miracle grow moisture control mix drains quick. PS I do not remove cutting from rockwool I just bury it in the dirt with the cutting im just throwing that out there in case anybody doesn't know what they should do.

Thank you

I agree very normal. mist the new leaves lightly with a mist bottle to help keep the green leaves from losing water until roots show up.
