Beautiful fig and a dream fig orchard!

Great big ol trees! What's the age of those trees? Looking good.

Very nice orchard. This is definitely a world class fig. Wish we had the wasp over here.

Ortego, trees are more than 25 years old and some of them was planted again after died heavy frost.

Beautiful photos, trees and fruit. Is this Turkey perhaps?

Yes it is in Turkey in Bursa city that is famous for Bursa Black fig .

Hi Ercan
Thank you for sharing these very nice fig pictures
Congratulations !
I had the pleasure of tasting one of these  .. straight from the tree, about a week ago..  and they are big and sweet!
Did try before... from the supermarket and ... well - it's day and night

Hi Ercan,
These seem the kind of figs we find in the Belgian stores, but they are picked unripe probably to allow them to be transported. So my question to you is: do you pick them unripe for the export?

Dear Stormy,
Yes for exporting we cant collect fully ripe Bursa Black figs that cant resist during shipping .Hope one day you have a chance to taste from the tree. Its harvesting time now until the end of September.

Have been to Turkey before, Bellek it was I believe, but that was before I developped this fig addiction.

It is best time for now for visiting. We start to harvest at the beginning of August.

Looks like I258 or Genovese Nero.   Anyone have all three that can comment?

Looks like these figs like the dry weather over there in Turkey. Any addition water to the figs?
