Nursery pot jackpot!

Here are some pics. of free nursery pots I picked up off of Craigslist. All 364 of them! Tony "Tonycm" also picked up 159 of them. Maybe he will post a picture of his as well.
They were in great shape, just a little dirty. About half of them were the heavy "premium" nursery pots. They range from 1 gal. to about 30 gal.

Wow. Nice find

Good catch. Now I want to see you fill them all.

The sad thing is that I spent a small fortune on nursery pots a few months ago. These will be good for trees that I give away in the future.

What a score!

Good score!!! Now that you have the pots and the figs, now the work begins. Good luck and have fun!

Congratulations!!!

I've gotten two nice scores of used nursery pots from Craigslist the past year. Not nearly as many as yours, and neither for free, but nice pots at an excellent price. At the rate I'm filling them up, I should probably start keeping watch again, lol.

Awesome!!!

You definately hit the jackpot...good luck.

Congrats on the great deal!

The only way I can say I scored better was a very lucky chance last year.  I posted a question in a California Rare Fruit Growers chapter's discussion group about a source for pots because the supplier I had bought from before had closed their local distribution center.  I was contacted by someone who said that she worked at a nursery which had a lot of 5 gallon pots that they didn't have a use for.  The nursery is located about 150 miles away but, as luck would have it, this lady has family that lives near me and delivered 200 of them to me...wouldn't even accept gas money since she was driving by my place anyways.

Very lucky!  I would love to find a deal like that near me!

You and me both Frank.

Superb score.   I have run completely out of 1 gallons.  Need to go hunting like you.

That is the one time I wish I had a long bed on my truck. There are still so many left. I should have pulled a trailer along.

All I could fit in my Jeep was 159 pots. I regret not taking my trailer, then I could of gotten way over 400 pots, but I'm happy with what I got. It beats paying for them. I like that four letter word that starts with "F", ""FREE"".  It would of been really nice if we could of had them delivered like Harvey did. That would of been the icing on the cake.

Good deal Tim

Wow.  Jackpot indeed!

Good find Art and Tony.

Another good place to find these is at new construction sights and look for houses/businesses being landscaped.
Just ask the landscape company.
