NYS Vanity License Plate...."FIGMAN"

Location:  Bronx, NYC....along the northern service road, near Pelham Bay Park....adjacent to I-95 North.
Time: approx 10:00 AM....yesterday 7/6/14

Black, late model car.  License plate shouted "FIGMAN" written in black capital letters.  I only caught a glimpse as the car pulled away and went onto the entrance to I-95 North.

So.....who are you?  Reveal yourself....please.  I can only wonder if this person is a member of F4F.

Why would someone want a license plate with that particular notation if they were NOT a devoted fig grower?

Although upon reflection, I suppose it's a better identity notation than the famous "ASSMAN" license plate, belonging to a Proctologist on the Jerry Seinfeld Show.  Too funny.

Frank

Come on FIGMAN we know you're on this forum.  Who are you?

Yes brother....where art thou?

Frank

I think Gorgi mentioned that one of the owners of Belleclare nursery had that license plate on either this or garden web forum

My wife bought a new car and the guy handed me the plate, the letters were FMV. she refused to exchange it

ejp3....

Interesting....and close enough to Long Island for someone from Belleclare to be driving around in the Pelham Bay area of The Bronx.

Travis:  How ironic!  She forced you to deal with a "diseased" license plate.  What a hoot. : )))

There is a guy that has a big hand in the Staten Island fig fest. His name is Pete C.... He has a bunch of trees and a bunch of good ones. Ed (ejp) and Vito know him. Maybe it was him.

Or... Maybe Rafed was in NY:)

FIGMAN   was the NY plate that Chris DiPaola from BelleClare had on his car for years.
He had an old plate in his garage hanging on the wall the last time I saw him.
I have a picture of him holding the plate.

He no longer used that plate for his car,
so, its somebody else.

Not Pete from SI  either.
