O.T. Persimmon Scion for Pear or peach?

I know there forums for this but figured one or more of you would have a need.
I have a couple Rossenyaka (sp?) and a couple (thin) Ichi Kei jiro (sp?) scion.
Looking for good pear or peach that would do well up here to graft onto my young trees to further diversify.

Greg, look for curl leaf resistant peach.. don't bother with 'averages', I am so sad, my trees were so beautiful (3 y.o.) and this year..they are so 'sick' with this nasty fungi, I have to figure out how to treat them this fall to see if they can recover. Seems like my Frosty was the one one that was spared. so maybe that is a good one to have.

Thanks Grasa!

Mine are all budding out, but next year I'm sure I could send some stuff out. I have pears: Moonglow, Red Anjou and am currently grafting (not sure if they took yet) Seckel and Asian Pears Shinseiki and Korean Giant. Also have a sensation peach, which is a genetic dwarf, not sure if that's really feasible to graft since it's practically all spurs.

I  Likely have the following in the fridge I can verify if you have interest.  I don't need the Persimmon scion, actually already have both those.
Belle of Georgia Peach
Elberta Peach
Red Haven Peach
Flat Wonderful Peach

Pears
Kieffer
Korean Giant
Magness
Ayers
Moonglow
Seckel
Shinko
Hosui

Anyone growing pears in the SE should add Orient to their collection.  It is the most disease resistant cultivar for high humidity areas.

This is a really interesting thread!

Can I graft persimmon onto pear? Is there a website for compatiblility?

No you can't do that, Think you are misreading. I think he is wanting to graft pear on existing pear, peach on peach, just differant cultivars on existing tree of same species.

Hi Grasa,
Plant garlic or/and leeks at the feet of your trees and watch mother nature do her job.
If like me you want better results, hang eggshells on the tree.
Since I do that my peach trees are almost clean and no more bleeding sap .
And to keep it on fig trees, I as well do hang eggshells on my fig trees ... To add micro-nutrients and calcium, someone said ! and because it costs me nothing :)
