Off topic: Persimmon Cuttings

I am looking for dormant scion wood this winter from any good japanese or special american varieties of persimmon. I know most trees aren't dormant yet but i would like to get a head start on sourcing some cuttings.
I have acquired quite a few small saplings of american persimmon diospyros virginia and would like to graft them before spring. They are all around the size of pencil in diameter. I am willing to pay a reasonable price or trade...I have a lot of fig cuttings and small trees of known and unknown varieties.

Justin,

I will have some scion come winter

Cool, what cultivars do you have Strudeldog?

I have over a dozen cultivars, PM me and and I will let you know what  I would likely have.  You might also want to check out Cliff England at http://www.nuttrees.net/  click on his "scion wood for sale" link.  He  has a lot of Pawpaw, Jujube, Nuts and other hard to find material as well as looks like around 150 persimmon listed.

Will persimmion cuttings root? or do they have to be grafted?

Grafted,  I have never known anyone to be successful rooting them. I think I might have read where someone did but it is not easily rooted if at all.
