Seventeen-ish years ago my ex, daughter, son and I were driving in the car. The subject of the origins of my daughter's name came up. So we discussed it for a while. My son (about 5 years old) chimed in with, "I know where my name came from." His mom asked him "where". He responds with "Steve Gage." The rest of us are now laughing hysterically because his name is "Maxmillian". Once we were able to control our laughter, and it took a long while to do so, I asked him who was Steve Gage, and why he thought he was named after this guy. His response:
Quote:
You know... Steve Gage, on the car. It says "Max".
So my ex and I are trying to figure out what he is talking about when I noticed that next to the speedometer (speed gauge) was the fuel gauge. When the tank is full, the needle points to "Max" (instead of "F" in most cars). We started laughing hysterically again.
I have so many stories about the things that came out of my children's (especially Max) mouths that had us laughing so hard we would bust a gut. This is one of those times in Dec. 2008.
