Oh come on!! 95 degrees!

So the night before last we had a frost. Last night we barely cracked 40 degrees and today it's supposed to get to 95!

No wonder plants are having problems these days. With tent caterpillars and gypsy moths and acid rain and all sorts of new exotic parasites and leaf munchers, fires and guys with chainsaws, drought and air pollution, etc. it's amazing they don't all just give up and fall over.

Anyone out there still think climate change is a hoax?

Near Kansas City the situation is similar.   Three night ago it reached 32 degrees on the outskirts of town, yesterday the high was a baking 93 and 88 right now...   Many of my figs ready for repotting (and next to a south facing wall) really baked.  They recovered overnight, but...     It is interesting also that last year spring arrived for us about 5 or 6 weeks early, this year about a month late.    I could not bring the figs outside till about two weeks ago due to the continued threat of freezes.    It will be a shorter season, but they are all leafing out nicely.

Haven't seen a post from you in a while. I'll answer your email tonight - I hope it's not important.

Michael seems our weather moved into your area recently had to bring in smaller trees from yard (sigh) frost on grass and roofs early morning then yesterday about 92 here.
Today it has cooled down into 80s.

Furnace on the other day now Ac is on .

Near Detroit, Mi.
My back is in pain for taking everything out again.

I took all the small stuff in again on Sunday. It's back out now. I think (hope) we are out of the woods in CNJ.
I am considering building a "fig trolley".
I think a 4' x 8' would be too big, but maybe a plywood 2' x 8', reinforced w a frame, with small harbor freight wheels on the 4 corners and 2 in the middle.
Anyone have experience with something like this?
Obviously, it would not be good on grass, but I could roll it out onto the driveway and back into the garage, and it could be stood on end for storage.
Any opinions? Experience?

Use the trailer tires and it'll be fine on grass.  4' x 4 - 8' doesn't seem too big to me, just reinforce the bottom.  As long as you can get it through the gate, the bigger the better.

Martin please take your weather back!
Rafed you need one of those motorized wheel barrow things.
John there are some pretty good farm carts out there with thin tall tires that'll do pretty nicely.
Bob -- thx 4 heads up on Ebay cuttings.
