VdB does almost well everywhere :) it's one of those reliable variety that also tastes great and very easy to find. mine is from east coast figs (which is no longer operating). and they got this from paradise nursery (which is no longer operating). paradise nursery used to call this "Elegant Violette Black".

there are good number of members who are in NC. i'm getting few unknown cuttings coming spring from them. they were collected in NC. let me know in spring and i can send some your way, unless the generous members contact you first :)
