One more to identify - then I promise I'll quit buggin you all.

Okay, so my neighbor to the North has a Celeste (identified by this forum), and now my neighbor to the South (in a 1860 Victorian house and I think the tree is original) has offered me free picking!  Pictures attached.  Can anyone tell me what kind they are?  They're awfully good!  Please don't tell me its a Brown Turkey!

That fig is the South eastern Brown Turkey,or Southern Brown Turkey, and it is a very good tasting fig.
It is very hard to distinguish it from Celeste because it look similar with the difference that the eye (ostiole ) is red on the green embryos, while on Celeste it is white.
Eventually when fruits are ripe The Celeste eye also turns pinkish red,but Southern BT has a red eye from the begining.
I know is confusing but this is the way it can be explained.
James Robin in Louisiana sell this type of Brown Turkey.
There are at least 2 more Brown Turkey with large fruits both distinct one from the other:
Those are
English Brown Turkey
California BT.

Nightspell, I'm about 20 miles from you!  If you need help picking let me know!!  lol

Hi nightspell, glad you've been so lucky to get free figs for the pickings, you said theyre awfully good. I think as long as you think they taste good then it shouldn't matter what variety they are right? I'm jus' saying so because I have a brown turkey and haven't tasted them yet, I'm hoping I think they're awfully good too!!! lol.

NightSpell, how does the Celeste compare to the ones in the picture in this post?
