Keep us updated. I'm definitely interested in seeing how this turns out! ;)

I used really heathy cuttings so to give it a fair shake.

Have you been following the same thread experiment Charlie is actively doing?  Are you going to use his information and findings and do some different techniques?

No i have not. What is the title of his post or his user name? Richie

Single node cuttings experiment

It is by "Charlie" on page two.  Quite a long thread.

Richie, the thread is active right now.  It isn't an old thread.  Just trying to help you out here.

Charlie. Did know you have done this already. And a well documented post. So it,can be done. I didn't want to cut up my martinenca rimada for nothing so i will give it ago and read your whole post. Going to take some time to read it. Very long. Think you started it in October i wasnt even a figger then. But i am now, thats, for, sure. Thanks richie

Yep Richard, read through it and see if you can expand on the findings.  The last reply was #199 just yesterday.  Good luck.

I just wanted to find out if it possible because the martinenca rimada and all my greek cuttings are pricy. Going to chop up a rimada and dip the ends in wax like charlie and follow his current findings. Thanks alot for showing me this post. Going to read it. I hate reading. Going to be like reading,a book !!!!!!!

Thanks again dirty. And thanks charlie.

You are welcome my friend.  I think it will be beneficial to read that book, lol,  and save you some already experienced problems.  Looking forward to your progress and learning from it.  Success and failures are important for all of us.  Go for it!

This is the victim that get chopped up. Looks like a one inch section may have two nodes. There is,alot of nodes. Have to read charlies pist to see how long to cut them. Just figured i would show the cutting that i wa t to multiple.

Rich, if I have a choice, I choose to bury 3 or more nodes to have a cutting that is "root rich" and can support any type of vegetative growth. Some cuttings will not produce roots at every node. so by burying at least 2 or more nodes you have a higher chance for success. Now this is my opinion and others may have a different opinion. I do things a little different because of my climate and natural growing conditions. I start all cuttings in gallon pots, high % of pine bark fines, outside in a 8x16 plastic enclosure, no heat, high humidity, tomorrow will be in the low 80s.

I live in Louisiana and also have a 24x12 hot tent. Thats how i usally do it. Fill pot with soil push them in let them grow. I keep my tent at 100% humidity. The cutting is 10 inchs so i can cut into 3 pieces its loaded with nodes. Should be good

I wish you well with it.  Has been quite the experience.  :)

Charlie. I am just going to learn from what you accomplished. And try it with one cutting.... a special cutting. It will have 4 nodes on a 2 inch peice. Its just how it grew. So yea. Thanks charlie
