Only Survivor

My only survivor from the winter, a Kadota fig.
Half of the tree was dead and I had to keep
cutting back till I found green wood.

Let's hope the 5 little figlets get ripe enough to eat.

Jerry

Looks healthy, now.

I don't know how I am going to store it for the coming winter?
I had it in a box with news paper around it and a blanket on the box,
in the garage.
This past winter was terrible, we had eveything from -35C to +15C.
The poor tree did not know what to make of it?
No wonder half of it froze?
I am going to get some sponge and wrap around it, then a blanket and
then put it in a corner.

O, Canada..... ;)

I lived in the States for 4 years.
So I learned to love JD!!

If you would've told me you learned to love Wild Turkey 101, I'd have been even more impressed ;)

I like Wild Turkey too!
Just seems the Mrs. always buys me the JD.
When I go, I will try differant bourbons, Wild Turkey,
Jim Beam, Maker's Mark, and Bulleit.

Jerry

Bulleit is one of my personal favorites, #2 in line behind Turkey. I'm a huge rye fan. Sazerac is another favorite.

I guess we should name some figs for these of your extra-carica favourites.
