Osborn Prolific or Not

This tree I got in July was to be an Osborn Prolific the leaves do not match any descriptions I have seen but look more like a Brunswick. This is the first fruit picked today since it was splitting. The fruit was not ripe and dry the inside was reddish but I could taste a hint of sweetness, and yes I did eat it. LOL I should also state that it has been dry here for the past 6 wks.and not as humid.
weight 52 grams probably would of weighed more if ripened. Any Ideas of what this could be my other Brunswick has amber pulp.

thanks for looking
Sal

I have one with similar leaves that I purchased at Walmart.  It was simply labeled pink.  No figs this year, but hopefully next year

Sal,  this looks very very close(Identical) to the Paradiso I have and Paradiso Giuseppe Morle sells in Mass. My Paradiso is from the Paradiso trees on my family orchards in Abruzzo. Also, the way it split, very very much like mine do at times.  You can look at Joe Morle's Website and also my website which I believe you have from past emails between us.  The fruit is the same looking, I don't have fruit pics on my website yet. We have to transfer from old computer that crashed to this New computer.  Ciao Sal.

I have to agree with Italiangirl for leaf shape but not fruit.  My fruits were more brown or an off color that I dont see on any other figs.

Thanks Maggie and Ed The fruit was picked probably a week to soon, hopefully I'll get one that's ripe to get a better idea of what it looks like inside and out In the next couple of weeks.
Lisa keep us posted on yours
Sal

You make a good point ejp. My paradiso also gets what I call bronzy color with age. I bet if Sal leaves it on, it will also do this.  My paradiso starts just the same green then fades to a rosy bronze color.  This I failed to mention earlier, but that split and leaves just the look is unmistakable to me.  Sal, let us know if yours gets bronzey color with a little more time on the tree.  Ciao

Here's my Osborn Prolific.

Something I have always been confused about with the osborne Prolific is there more than one variety of osborne Prolific? I have seen from yellow to brown figs and red pulp to amber pulp im confused.

Bass, that looks like my Osborn.

Yes, there seem to be at least two varieties labeled as Oz Pro, one that is more like a Brown Turkey (purplish), and one that is browner/bronzier, from what I have been able to gather. Welcome to the FUN in figs.
