sure don't look like my OP. Hope it taste great.

i buy this Tree from the collector from Jakarta, Indonesia too. He is trusted collector, my friend :) The tag when i buy is osborne profillic. Can you posting your OP picture? salaam.

It is a very nice looking fig!

I have never seen an Osborne but to me this fig looks like a Neveralla breba(1st crop)?

thank you pino :) but tag name is osborne profillic :)

paully, can you posting photo your OP?

Iwan, do a search on this forum "Picture - 17th September 2014 Osborne Prolific" I posted. Sorry I do
not know how to post the link to the picture. Maybe some one here at the forum can help.

My Osborne P is reliable in my zone. It gives me 2 crops. It is indeed a work horse variant here. I have
seen a picture of a green fig named Osborne Prolific. Hence, as long as you like it, that counts. I have 4
sources of OP and they are the same as my tree --- 2 were given to me, one purchased and the last one
was a intentional dupe in a trade.

Hi Iwan,
Show us the leaves, as for now, my young Osborn just made leaves :) .
Surprisingly, the tree tried to make one breba that got slug beaten but no main crop at all . It did not grow that much.
The conditions were harsh last year here, and other strains in similar stage just behaved the same.
I'm looking forward to a better outcome this coming season .
If you post the leaves, I can compare yours to mine.

F4F describes the Variety Osborne Prolific as having a skin Color of Bronze/Brown.
Twice it's medium size is mentioned in the description. Here is a pic of my O.P. Neveralla 003.JPG

I could not find my OP photos but Archipel is a syn. of OP. I think you have a beautiful fig there but not an Osborn Prolific - at least not what we here in the US consider an OP. I have no idea how this post ended up so strange.

ooh, I will check to my source. are you sure thats op? anyone have op too? can share picture of fruit and leaf, thanks

maybe climate differency??

It looks like a simple mistake. They happen.
I try extremely hard not to sell any trees that are mis-labelled and I attach a metal tag to the plant and a strong plastic one to the pot but every once in a while someone will tell me I messed up. Last one was a Scott's Yellow I gave to a friend that produced purple figs . . . .ooops . . .

I'd just ask your friend to replace  - or just keep the one you have as it looks great.

As far as that kind of difference due to climatic factors - - I doubt it.
mgg

thanks mgg

Absolutely.

I JUST bought an OP at my local nursery (I really want to eat a fresh fig!). Unfortunately i dont have fig pics yet. Looking forward to at least one or two figs!

im wondering about a "real OP" '(
