I do not know what variety (anybody knows?) is this but they look quite beautiful for me!
Not fragrant though. It is blooming for the first time for me.

i didn't know they bloom x) i thought they were just.. green all the time.

Oh, yeah!  There are certain plants that every household should have available.  Aloe is on the top of that list for its medicinal purposes, i.e. burns and antiseptic properties. Bay leaf tree for cooking, and of course fruit trees :)

bay leaves.. great for italian cooking. just have to walk around someone else's hedge and i can get some good ones x)

When I was a kid, Mom had aloe growing all the time, she probably still has some. Some of the plants were huge, but they always just sprouted babies. The pictured plant appears to be a different variety aloe than...well, common run of the mill aloe. I wonder if the variety has something to do with the flowering, or is it just so dang happy it can't contain it's girl parts?   :)

All sorts of hybrids these days, so anything based on what you provided would be a wild guess. However, very propitious for you. You must be doing something right!
