OT - anyone need a jujube or persimmon?

I have a lang jujube and a imoto fuyu persimmon that I don't want anymore. They're both grafted onto rootstock, I got both from edible landscaping last year and planted them and dug them up and tossed them in pots this spring. I planted a hybrid persimmon this year in hopes it'll survive here without protection in winter. I don't want the jujube after reading about it suckering up 35 feet away as I have a small yard close to two neighbors yards.
I'd like to have an grafter asian pear, maybe a chojuro or something thatll produce good fruits here in PA. Not really looking for figs at the moment. Ill try to post pictures later of the plants, pm me if interested. Thanks

For what it's worth, I've found "Great Wall" Asian persimmon to be perfectly hardy here the past two winters (-5F, -3F). No damage at all and it's flowering like crazy this year.

Tim

Tim I ended up getting a Kasandra from englands and put it where this one was, I didn't want to have to worry about it growing out a bit and then dying after I stopped protecting it. We had low temps -8 to -10 here the past two winters, seems like the new normal.

So I'm bringing this old thread back. I still have these two plants in pots and would like to regraft them this spring. Would anyone be willing to trade (for cash) a few cold hardy persimmon or jujube scion?

Hey Travis. I know nothing about grafting ( scion wood similar in length and thickness as fig cuttings?) but I have GA-866 and Li jujube and imoto fuyu and Great Wall Asian persimmon. If I can help you with scion wood for any/all of these varieties, you can just have them. Hope I can help.

Wait so do you still have the persimmon tree? If yes PM me I might be interested. Thanks

Hi Travis
How big is the Lang Jujube also is it grafted or a seedling?
Thanks

I still have them and have decided to regraft them instead of getting rid of them.
