I woke up this morning and my cat has dug up my potted navel orange tree exposing some roots. I really don't want to lose this tree. It needed up potted and root pruned anyway. Any advice.

Did the cat totally unearth it? must be a small tree or really big cat. Maybe soak the roots to re-hydrate and repot in gritty mix. I am sure you will be alright with just an overnight exposure. When I planted my citrus orchard back in FL they were all bareroot and it took me several days to get them in ground. none sufferd.

up pot, root prune and spray some anti-cat spray.  :)

Anti cat. I hate cats, its my roommates car which is now going to anothere home. The. Cat.

Its a small tree maybe 3 foot tall in about a 3 gal pot.

It only bloomed once in the three years I have had it. Sitting in a sunny window. Here in my chilly midwest home.

I wouldn't be too concerned. My Mom shipped me a bare root Cara cara in the peak of summer. She had no clue what she was doing. By the time it got to me, 4 days later the leaves were already yellow. I soaked them in super thrive right away for 30 minutes and it did just fine.

I'm hoping that by up putting it in a little bit more root space it will bloom again

I'd make a wick out the drainage holes while you're working on it. Citrus really really really hate wet feet. Really.
