Finally, after many failed attempts at citrus cleft graft, fig TBud grafts and fig cleft grafts I finally found something to hang my hat on. The inverted TBud graft for citrus was a breeze and all three of them took. I just took off the tape and the buds are green and starting to push. I cut 2/3 through the root stalk and pushed it over to force the buds to grow. Not only that, I grew the root stalk from seed last spring which was wild trifoliate that grows wild in the woods around here. So there you go! Home brewed citrus can be done!!!!!!;)

Not sure how well TBud grafts do in fall. From what I've read it's a spring thing when the bark slips in that spring growth flush. If I remember right, a fall grafted TBud will either fail or just sit there and not grow but that's all assuming it's done outside. Indoors is probably a different story all together.

2 of them are Golden Grape fruit. One on a unknown citrus rootstock, probably carrizo and the other trifoliate. Also one Cara Cara Navel on trifoliate.

Just wondering, why inverted? I would think the horizontal cut on the bottom would hinder the healing. I can't argue with success though!

i like the inverted T myself You have less problems with moisture it rolls to the side as opposed under the flaps and into the graft.
