Alan, The problem is not in the numbers but in the Brainwashing by some groups. When you teach kids that the West is evil, and that all other religions are bad at the very least, the chances that there will always be a freak out there increase dramatically.
In addition take for example the recent extermination and uprooting of Arab Christian communities by ISIS that took place in certain towns of Iraq and Syria. History repeats itself.
Do these acts inspire love and equality among the nations? Evil comes disguised under a different banner each and every time.
Unless you separate religion from politics (we are a long way from this in the rest of the world) these acts of violence will continue to increase and might end up causing bigger problems to world stability down the road. Practices by governments might hold the key for world peace, and it will take a lot of work, but most governments are happy with the status quo.
Here's an example: Why are churches prohibited from being built in Saudi Arabia or why are Christians totally banned from traveling to certain parts of that country?
These practices on government levels hardly inspire love and harmony.
I would not be surprised if all Arab governments end up falling victims to their own doctrine of hate that was taught in Mosques for generations.
