OT Helping to get to Margaritaville

Hi all,

A while ago I posted about a Myer's Lemon tree and found out a lot of you grow more than figs.  Thought I would share a picture of my lime tree which is out enjoying the North Carolina weather.  I  have no idea what type as it was bought at a going out of business sale.  Always produced limes.  It's currently got a bit of scale but I'll deal with that after the harvest.  I think there is a dozen limes on it.

That's a nice looking tree. I have a small Ponderosa lemon and Meyer lemon going right now. I haven't had success with citrus - I've killed 2 others over the past several years. I'm feeling it now, though. I feel ready to make it work. I hope :)

Those limes are gold right now. A case of limes that used to wholesale at $10 is now it $90 or more. Bartenders are be hit real hard.

ps: very nice tree.

Mojito time very soon for you!

Sounds good.  Can wait until they are ripe.  The dog keeps eying them trying to figure if tennis balls grow on trees.  It's budding again too.

The previous owner of my house planted a Mexican lime tree behind the pool bar ...for his margaritas. It is about 9 feet tall and wide. I never water it, but it gets loaded with a couple bushels of limes every year. They are the little ones, so that's a lot of limes! Hope you like to drink a lot of margaritas.
