OT How do I handle this? Help!

So, I am a garden web member in good standing, and I discovered this Mulberry I really wanted, so I put a request.  A year later, seriously, a year later.  Response.

The Mulberry, not just any old mulberry, the only one anyone wants, he is pruning his tree and he will gift me.............OMG!  This is the BEST you can get!

So I'm a little feeling guilty.  I say, I can give you fig cuttings or Moringa Oleifera... He's pretty cool.  We just moved here, and my fig cuttings are few, but I would sell my soul for that Mulberry!

Congrats on the mulberry gift!

You can use his return address and send back the shipping cost and or along with the shipping cost some scionwood.

That's a great idea Martin

Suzi, is it that you don't have enough to share with him?
PM me if that's the case, I'll send you a list of what I have.
It would be an honor to be able to help
one of the Fig Gurus for a change, instead of the other way around.

I'm going to drive an hour or two to pick up the prunings.  I did research it, and you just stick them in well watered soil, and they will root.  The whole point here is, if you don't ask you don't get!  I asked for this a year ago, and the answer has come!

I will bring him Moringa Oliefera (google that) seeds and some fig cuttings.  I think he wants the Moringa more than the figs...

Ask and you shall receive.  Didn't our heavenly father say that?

The one he has is Pakistan.. like 3" berries.

Be kind to me!

Suzi

I'm new, please fill me in. What kind of Mulberry are you talking about?

potatochips101, google Pakistan Mulberry.  It thrives in my zone, and bears year round, and the berries are about 3" long.  I have plans for those berries!

Ruuting, the beauty is, he is asking nothing of me.  I am offering!  This is what it should be about.  So many here have freely given, and this is someone not from the fig forum, but someone I can gift to.  He was pruning his rare tree, and he offered.... not knowing...  I will bring him what I can, but he isn't about that.

There are really good people out there, and Ruuting, you are one of many!  Most members of the fig forum will pitch in when they can!

I finally have some figs in ground, and wow!

I'll be generous next year and the next.  New property, new issues, but that Verte is rocking!!  VDB isn't doing so good.

Suzi

Suzi, hate to spoil the party, but I could score you some Pakistan Mulberry cuttings anytime.

Wow!  Jon, that's a great shot!  Those are some good looking berries!  You could make banana berry ice cream sundaes!  All you need is a chocolate tree and then you could make banana splits!!

Everyone in the fig forum is now going to want that Mulberry!

I'm sure your cuttings won't go to waste!

:-))

Suzi, that was God giving you what you wanted. God is amazing. Good luck with those cuttings. Jon, sent me some last year. All I did was ask, like you. Today, my Paskistan mulberry is 9 feet tall.

9' tall in one year?  Wow!  I hope mine does as well!  I need to plant mine in gopher baskets.  Figure I'll get a few rooted, plant them here and there, and see which one is the healthiest.  I may prune mine into a bushy shape for easy picking!

Yes, God did give me what I wanted.  I'm excited to be able to share some fig cuttings with a non-fig convert too!
