The plastic cups contained mostly ice cream, also some sorbet.  It was excellent.  Over the course of two days I probably had 8 of those cups, making multiple trips so as to allow others the opportunity and to make sure none went to waste! :)

Thank you Harvey for such beautiful pictures of Dragon fruits !  I wish I could grow them here in AZ.... I was always fascinated by their look and color and tried a few times to grow them ... unsucsessfully . They all died on me sooner or later... I bet it was so much fun to visit that farm and  taste so many varieties... I am jelous :) I never tried one yet :)

Katerina, Dr. Al Fxxxxx (forget his last name) of the CRFG chapter there grows dragonfruit with some overhead protection to protect from intense sun and some from cold weather. :)  But, realistically, much exposure to anything below 32F is pretty tough and it's best to bring into a greenhouse or indoors during winter.  The festival was fun and I got to eat lots of dragonfruit! :D

Drug dealers probably give out free samples to get folks hooked!

Note to others: I attended the festival with a friend who didn't want any more cuttings.  Each attendee was allowed to pick up cutting so she let me gather cuttings for her which went to Hershell.  I do not have more cuttings to give out.
