Does anyone know if you can grow jujube from cuttings, as we all do with figs? I am interested in this plant and was curious. Thanks.

P.S. - If it can, indeed, be propagated in this manner, I would like to acquire some cuttings. Please PM me the terms (trade or sale) if you can help.

I don't think jujube are normally propagated from cuttings (not necessarily that it can't be done). At any rate, they are typically grafted onto root stock. You might consider purchasing at least one grafted tree. Once established, it will put out lots of suckers. These can be dug up to start new root stock. You can then either graft on fruit wood from the original tree, or buy/trade/steal some scion from other varieties. You just missed the scion wood and bare root tree shipping season, so if you want something right now, I think it will have to be a potted tree.

I tried some side-by-side with my figs, zero results, not glimmer of development.  Best to buy one, dig the suckers, most prolific plant I've ever seen for suckers.  Around here a 12" rooted sucker goes for $10.  I have no interest in them if they are hard to grow, if I want the challenge, I would go back to orchids, too old for all of that.
