Yesterday my Mom was hit by a mini van as a pedestrian. She is 79 and in fairly good health. The details of the accident are still sketchy and is under investigation. She has multiple fractures, broken ribs, broken arm, internal injuries and head trauma.

I will be headed up there tomorrow - my family is in NY, this happened in Hicksville. Also, if anyone was a witness to this accident please contact me to aid with the investigation.

I am so, so sorry.  What sad, and terrible news.  It's heartbreaking to read.  Prayers for your mom and family to recover from this turn of events.   I will visit, pray, and light candles for your mom when I visit the famous, St. Lucy's Grotto, here in The Bronx.
