ot- peach problem.

Sorry for the OT.

I have a friend with a peach tree they asked me what was wrong.
The fruit is not ripe and dropping, and the fleash is polka dotted. She begged me to help solve this problem. So I though I would as you guys. I can post pics of fruit if it will help once I get close to my computer.

when my peaches drop its from poor watering. dont know about polka dots

post pics. what is climate--rainy humid? is tree mature ever born lots of mature fruit before? flesh or the skin is polka dotted you mean? split em open any worms inside? no dry/shriveled appearance?

google image search plum curculio. peach scab and/or bacterial spot making polka dots on the skin. the curculio can make premature fruit drop and u got peach scab on top of that which usually doesnt hurt too much but just makes it look spotted. once you got diagnosis, organic treatment could be possible.

I have a 6 year old Durazno Bonanza peach tree which sort of had brown dots in the flesh and premature dropping of fruit last year. Don't know what caused it, and that was going to be it's first big harvest. The few peaches it did mature were by far inferior to my Elberta in every way. The Bonanza tree is a natural dwarf and something of a specimen tree with unique growth pattern and flowers, so I guess it stays but I probably wouldn't plant it again.
