Took me a minute to figure out "CP".  Great pictures......wonder if they grow wild here in Florida?

Real nice pictures Peter...thanks for sharing.

Very cool!

cool pictures thanks for sharing

I love carnivorous plants. I didn't realize so many varieties grew in a limitied area.

Love your photos. The little frog is adorable

Very impressive, Pete, and quite a nice service project you did with your troop.  I wasn't aware that you had such diversity of carnivorous plants there, thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing, very cool.

Too cool to see them in situ.

thanks guys. they all grow in very small area, less than the size of the football field. the soil out there was always wet, and it's mostly sand and peat. there was a good size of pond next to where the plants were. i was surprised to find sundew and venus flystrap so healthy in this weather. i might just put my slowly dying sundew outside to see if it will do better there. it would have been very nice if i was there in summer to take better picture of the pitcher plants.

while we were hiking and watching migratory birds, we saw an alligator. it was a huge adult alligator. all the boys went down with a guide to take a look from some distance away. my son went to see it and came back to tell me.. "dad, that was huge... and it was just the tail. i don't think i want to find out how big the body is".
