Second year Dwarf Red Lady. Excellent taste. Very sweet. In Tallahassee. Close to Georgia....

Anyone growing these?

Frank, very nice looking. My wife loves Papaya. She lived in Hawaii for years and picked up on this fruit early in her
childhood. Thanks for sharing.

Looks beautiful. I'm growing a papaya, 2nd year, it's taller than me and no sign of fruit. I was so hoping it would fruit this year, but now it's too big to keep through another winter.

Can you post a picture of tree? I don't think I'd know a papaya tree if I walked into it.

Mike, you could probably grow them at your location as well. I put mine in the shed for winter. They often produce the first year.

Neat looking plants, not what I expected. Thanks Frank!

I teach in the Caribbean (nice job, huh!) and many of my island friends there have Papaya trees in their yards. Perfect treat for sure! Did you know that on many of the islands, papayas are known as "paw-paws?" (Not to be confused with the Appalachain tree.)
