OT small space herb garden

Just thought I would like to share this with everyone. My fiance has been nagging to build this from some sort of social media site. Pretty simple sanded a pallot, drilled on some feet, stained it, and stapled in garden fabric. Saves a ton of space, i have 7 plants in the pallot alone, with a little room to spare.

I've seen that system on several gardening sites.  Easy and space saving for sure, personally, I just don't like the look of the pallet.

Your basil and sage look nice!  I can't tell what other herbs you have there.  As long as you keep everything well watered they should get a lot of extra heat from the brick and sidewalk late into the season.

If you like eggplant I would think an eggplant like the long thin type would do well with the extra warmth...  I'm growing some Ping Tung but if we don't have a hot summer I'm not too hopeful.

Awesome idea, and good use of space. I use pallets for different purposes as well, as I am definitely a "thrifty type". Last year I changed all the single pane windows in my house, and I used them, a long with some pallets I picked up, to create a small green house.
It came out great, and helped me start my seedlings a lot sooner this seasons!

Thanks for sharing Chris!

You can also lay them flat for a quick greens or smaller vegetable garden. Remove alternating or every 3rd board, use the removed boards to cap the open ends, fill with bagged soil and voila you have a miniture raised bed garden with built in rows.

Those are both good ideas. Jerry if you have any pics of the green house I would love to see it. Calvin I've seen people take out drawers on old dressers and cut out the back and feet and do the same too.
