OT: Some Jersey Tomatoes

IMG_3976

That's a beautiful sight, enjoy.
Vito

Those pots of tomatoes stewing bring back  childhood memories both of harvest and mid-winter hot meals.

As soon as I saw the tomatoes I was thinking sauce. Then I kept scrolling and saw it :).. Very nice.

Nice display of tomatoes.
You have a red thumb.LOL

I got tomato envy. I got so many and too lazy to pick them. God Bless all tomato pickers!
is that a tomato juice? if so, tell us how to make it.

Nice haul Rich.

The drink with the tacos is acerola juice.
In the pots is sauce simmering down.

Tomatoes are good for ya, nice harvest.

Richie....proving once again that Jersey is still The Garden State. That sandwich.... I want one. Now.

How many plants do you have? Thats a whole lotta tomato.

Jersey strong!

Nuttin' better than NJ tomatoes

Nice enjoy

Good tomatoes have to have some acidity which is lacking in store bought and even vegetable stand tomatoes. The soil and time sitting before eating makes all the difference in the world. I like to pick and eat them like an apple. YUM!

mmm nice bread, a sharp knife and a jar of mayo.... Love NJ tomatoes... thanks for sharing!

Thanks. I just slobbered all over my keyboard.

My room-mate in college was from Jersey. His mom would FedEx him tomatoes. i thought it was extreme the first time I saw it -- then he made me a tomato sandwich and spent the day making homemade red sauce... then I changed my opinion on what is extreme when it comes to tomatoes.

I will have to say this, though. The best tomatoes in my life came from a friend's farm in Northern Virginia. Good Lord!

Those look delicious! I only had 4 plants this year, no where near as many maters but you can't beat homegrown!
