OT - Super Bowl 48 XLVIII

I am not into any sport at all (though my son is very-much-so!).

Anyway, this Sunday (some) Super Bowl is happening within a few miles north of me
(right here in the 'Garden State' of NJ and not, not in NY!?!).

I plan to watch it on TV; and since I have been to Seattle a few times, I'll be vying for that team...
[Nothing against Denver, CO though].

Me too but milehighgirl may disagree.

As a 49er fan of 30 years..... I will definitely be rooting for Denver. I hope Richard Sherman gets torched all day long! lol

don't watch sports all that often now days,. back before i had my kids, i was crazy about hockey, but never football. not enough violence.

Orange and blue baby!

Billed as the "Doobie Bowl" for obvious reasons.

The first "Green" Super Bowl.

We'll be watching for sure!  We are hosting our annual Fantasy Football League members here in our home pub.  I'm making chili.  I'll be cheering for my squares to win in the SuperBowl pools, both the one here at home and Figs 4 Fun forum's also.  Go Denver!!

Suzi

I normally go for the underdog...which I believe is the Seattle Seahawks......I just want a good game, not a lob-sided one. I will be OK on whoever wins.

The first SMOKA BOWL, Seahawks win.

My thoughts exactly.  I don't hope for any serious injuries but some pain would be good for him.

Two cents:
It would be a huge disgrace for Denver to lose this to Seattle (and the over all feeling is that it's already "in the bag" after they defeated Patriots) BUT if any coach/quarterback/team stands a chance to WIN, it may be Pete Carroll/Russel Wilson/Seahawks! We'll be watching and hoping for a close game!!!
How 'bout them Figs? :)

I like that Kia is airing commercials advertising their 3rd quarter commercial during the Superbowl.

i believe i'm the only person for 100s of miles around who doesn't watch football.

i do like the idea of superbowl snacks, so i'll make a bunch and watch a movie.

you guys have  fun.

I love the superbowl.  Everyplace that's so crowded you can't move is empty.  I hope the rest of you enjoy the game.  I'll hit a favorite restaurant and walk in and sit down.  After that, the world's my oyster  :)

That said, I love the West Coast so I hope Seattle wins.  Nothing against Denver.

Go Denver

GO, [GO], go, go Seattle...

Rooting for Seattle but I hope it's at least a challenge! Not looking like it so far.

go rangers!... wrong game, dang it.

Looks like a blowout, break out the doobies

The first open stadium Super Bowl in a cold state. And NJ(/NY) was chosen!

LUCKY narrow escape!
Them stadium spectators/fans could very easy have had their butts frozen off their seats!

Currently it is a balmy/calm ~50*F while game is playing (Seattle wining).
The weather man says that by early tomorrow
morning, it will be 27*F AND snowing!

Oh no; please no more snow shoveling for me...

I need to drive my daughter-in-law for some more
doctor visits. Comes this Friday, we will have 2 new
(paternal) twin grad-daughters (C-sect)!

Pl. say a little prayer for all of us, so that everything goes well.
(George, NJ)

What can I say? I'm a jock! I played football my whole life! Played basketball and track and field. Ran the high and low hurdles and triple jumped in high school and gave up all sports in college.

I'm hoping Seattle wins.

denver is getting their collective butt handed to them.

Man that was painful.   :(

Best part of the game was my 2 bowls of Schlerith's Stink'n Good Green Chile.

Lol @ Broncos ;)

The magic of sport lives on when an underdog does what we saw today.
