Nice picture and nice suit Danny. I'm sure others will join in and share some pics.

Personally, I prefer not to share pics of myself publicly. Well, aside from what you might see in the post office :-)) .

Baust55,
From that angle I can't tell the difference.

I sold my '02 FLSTCi last summer as my ear infections have made my balance very twitchy for awhile. Doc says at least another year. rats!! Oh well.
Was a heartbreak as it was my first bike.

My first overnighter was 117 days and 25k miles. I started in VA (I always travel alone as I stop to take photos a lot) and then did the highest paved road in Alaska - thank God for heated clothes as I didn't cross into Canada until November 1st. brrrhhh -- then Mexico, then Key West, then the highest paved road in eastern Canada, then back to VA. Was a great adventure solo and really cleared my head.
Was the 4 corners but supercharged.
She ran great (I did put a race tuner in her) but I did have 4 flats - 2 on the front -- and I could live forever and not miss having another one of those. Did break my foot and wrist but that's what heel shifters are for.

I dumped a lot of moola into her including punching her up to 96hp.
Most of my photos are in my other computer but here's a couple --dressed and undressed. I need to send you one packed to travel as it'll crack you up --I don't travel light.

She took me to a lot of wonderful places and I miss her.

Nice Softtail ...25K ...awsome trip  you took ...
We got rid of that heel shifter ha .
Most of my long rides were on the old shovelhead longest only 9k  .coast to coast and gulf to cannada a few times . I guess close to a quarter million miles on my three harleys in the last 30+ years . so far only a cpl 2000 mile trips on the RoadKing SO FAR !

Austin,
My next one will most likely be a souped up Road King as the leather bags aren't good for travel really. I will miss the chrome oil tank, etc. but there were a lot of times I couldn't go into bars, etc. as my stuff just wasn't secure.

The bars in Alaska are open at 4 in the AM - it's wild. I think they close from like 5 AM to 7 AM then open back up.
There wasn't a stronger shock for the back end when I took my long trips and it was painful. I hope HD has changed that oversight.
I'll tell you -- without that Corbin seat I could never have done even 2k miles. The stock seat sucked.

That heel shifter saved my a^&. You know how when you pull hard out of a parking lot and hit gravel your instinct is to put your foot down?
Well --ooops -- I did that in the Grand Canyon and it pulled my foot under my fully loaded 1200 pound bike. Without a heel shifter I'd have been stuck in Arizona for the winter as it was chasing me down from Colorado.

I didn't buy a bike til '02. Before that I was into old British cars. I restored 2 Austin Healey 3000 MK11 BJ8 series 2's. I have no idea what kids restore now as the cars I drove in high school are all too expensive for me to own today.

250k is very impressive. Most guys buy them and put 4k miles on them then just look at 'em for years.
I also think 9k miles on an old shovel head (is there any other kind?) is harder then 25k on my very comfy bike with heated clothes, cup holder, cig lighter, iPod, etc.

Anthony,
Sorry, but I don't. That's a pretty heavy price for an 82 Sportster. The HD market is in the basement these days. Slap it on Craig's List and beware of all the con men who'll claim they're calling from a boat or oil platform and just need you to take their check and pay for the bike shipper, etc. It's a trip. Right now you can buy a really nice 10 year old bike someone's dumped an extra 10k into for 9k all day long.

Squid, I catch those too  :-)

Me and a buddy with some Giant Humboldt Squid
caught in the Sea of Cortez, Midriff Islands, Baja Mexico

These are about 4 feet long about 35-40 pounds,
bigger ones we caught we closer to 6 feet and 80-100 pounds.
Razor sharp tenticles.

Yes, fairly agressive,
when you hook a larger one it takes a while to land them,
if you take too long, it will get attacked by other squid
and you end up with scraps on the jig.
The jig is 60 cm long and 800 grams

They taste very good, very popular in some asian countries,
it has a taste similar to Abalone.
It is also very delicious raw.
Bit of a pain to clean, as there is a thin membrane on both sides
of the fillet that needs to be skinned off.

Picture of my friend holding a nice one,
my back is turned in this picture,
if you notice our shirts they are soaked,
its from getting squirted by the squid,
they shoot water like a fire hose.
Sometimes you get covered in ink as well,
lots of fun and laughs fishing for these larger squid,
just don't fall in the water, there are hundreds of them around the boat.
