Rating for the zone generally implies for winter survival. If you are growing in containers in Zone 6 to be stored inside at safe temperatures during dormancy, then the question of zone rating is mute in my opinion. Choose the ones that will thrive well in growing season in your area and ripen relatively early. Do experimenting with different varieties in your area and you will eventually come across varieties that do well in your area and there wil be some that will grow well but least productive or productive but late ripening.
I am in zone 5a growing in pot and so never had to bother about zone rating and found out that many varieties touted by others such as Smith, Hunt, Sultane etc grew well but did not perform well fruit delivery wise while some others performed very well such as I-258, Kadota, 143-36, Mars-VS-Black, Vista to name a few, produced and ripened well. You have to experiment with different varieties and find out what performs well in your area/zone.
