Panache Nj zone 7b no problems! Awesome fig!

Ok so here is my panaches' story I was told last year that this tree fruiting was a lucky break, and that this year it would probably start to stumble, this tree is so vigorous I actually started it in late February, had over 12-15 Figs on it brought it out I'm April and it sunburned all the figs burnt with leaves and fell off, I thought for sure that this tree would not produce figs at that point I was very bummed by it! But this tree is a beast, not only did it get new foliage it about more than doubled its fig production and fast! Don't know why people struggle with this tree in my zone? Maybe it another strain that lacks this lineages vigor??? Don't know, I will be eating panache this season again, and by the way the Figs from last year were amazing! And last year it had frost damage and had to rebound it was a month behind and I still got Figs! I absolutely love this tree, one of my absolute favorites!

It took me four years to finally get two branches like this one.
It is the first year for me, but someone had fruit from cutting within a year. It's totally unpredictable

Very nice. I had no luck with it here. Looks like you got a good one. :).

I rooted a cutting last year, and this year it has figs. Looks like they will mature, they're as big or bigger than Hardy Chicago or Florea. And yes it's a beast grows like crazy.

I really think it comes to the source. I got one from JFE and it is a stud. I have a few other strains and they are shy on productivity, vigor and productivity. JFE has produced in a pot around mid August. The others are late September at best. Thank you for bringing this topic to the forefront. I have been growing panache for around five years. The JFE strain has far outworked, out produced, and outperformed the others, hands down. It's not even a late performer in zone 6b/7a. I am very happy with that strain.

Right! I don't remember where I got mine, it was an online source maybe JF&e! A couple of guys I know around here their trees just don't produce or do much, and it's obviously not them it's the trees, so it has to be strain related!
