Panachee cutting progress

Here is the progress on the UCD panachee cutting I started last year.  It definitely has that striped bark   It almost looks like the bamboo stake I have supporting it.

Nice pictures and good progress. How does the growth rate of Panachee
compare with other figs?

Panache sure likes to grow straight up without branching much, doesn't it?
I have a Panache I bought from Home depot last fall and planted in the yard.
It's doing pretty well, considering I don't know much about fig care, but was
growing straight up like a pole with no branching. About 3 weeks ago, I
decided to pinch it. It is amazing how one little pinch started a bunch of
branches. I took a cell phone picture of how it is today, but I didn't take a
picture of how it was on the day I pinched it. I do have a picture of what
it looked like in early December right before it went dormant.
