Panachee in NC

Today, I started picking a few Improved Celeste (Not) figs and just could not resist the temptation to take a picture of my Panachee.  Both of my trees are over 4 feet tall and look pretty healthy with figs on!  Reminds me of the trees at UCD.  I'm getting ready to pot these 2 trees up in my self watering pots.

Enjoy!

WOWW Dennis your so lucky enjoy.

Dennis, how badly (if at all) do they split in wet, humid weather?  I've got a small first-year Panachee in humid southeast Virginia and wonder if I should keep it if it splits and gets bad fig rust.  It already has fig rust, and none of my other nearby figs are affected.  Just curious what your experience is in Zone 8a.

Thanks Rob.
Dave, there is no split.  In your climate, your tree should grow perfectly. If your tree is getting rust, place it in a place where it will get, plenty on breezes from the northwest.  My Lsu Champagne had rust and all I did was relocate the tree.  Rust problem solved.  I am also in zone 8a.  Good luck.

A shout out to my Virginia neighbors!,
I used to live in Chesterfield, VA for 35 years before I moved here 3 years ago.  Send Help! LOL
(Gosh, I miss good OL' Virginie!)

Dennis, what model of self watering container are you planning to use?

Thanks for the advice, Dennis. I'll give it a try. I'm still probably another 2 years from getting even a handful of figs from my Panachee.

Vince, I'm converting my current pots to self watering pots.  See this thread I started:
