Pane E Vino White

Wow , very beautiful. I'm overwhelmed by the many varieties, size and colors of figs I'm seeing on this site. Thank you for sharing.

Oh, I want this one!  Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Very nice, I've been thinking about adding the dark to my wish list but now I think the white just might make it there first.

Nice fig Nelson

For quite some time I have been looking for a local dark  fig called 'sopa e vinho', which is a rather old variety.
Believe it is the same cultivar as 'pane e vino'
This summer, a good friend offered me a young tree which has not yet produced any figs. May be next season.
I am attacjing a picture of the leaf and it looks about similar to yours.

Nelson, Thanks for sharing. It looks great.

Francisco, Me and a friend collected the Pane e Vino from a garden of an Italian restaurant that was called Pan e Vino. So may not be the same fig as yours since I called it this name. The two figs are from Sicily, one is dark and one is white.

Thank you Bass for your descriptions. You gave that name and it was well given.

Our 'sopa e vinho' , a Common, dark cultivar may also have some other synonyms... and I suspect it is a fig shown on this forum in 2012 under the name of 'olho da vinha' or 'figo de Paderne' as per pictures...

Not aware of a light colored variety in this area
