I was just going through some stuff and found a pair of panty hose. Now I'm thinking about those 9 inch anderson band pots I have. I'm thinking the panty hose will make a nice root ball that will allow water to drain through easy enough. And a bread tie at the top should make a great gnat protector. Timm will tell. I will keep posted.

Interested in hearing how this works out. Had also thought of planting in cut up ankle or knee high hose in a rooting box. Easy to remove rooted cuttings for transplant and to replace with new ones to root. A few snips and a hose encased root ball could be transplanted without disturbing the roots as much as having to physically remove a cutting from a container. It could allow me to transplant rooted cuttings to pots earlier with less transplant growth slowdowns.
