Papa John

I'm new to the forum so I hope my questions are not redundant. I was looking for information about "Papa John" from Petals from the Past. Question does this variety produce two crops and what is the approximate ripening time as compared to Hardy Chicago which I currently have.
I was also thinking about O'Rourke or Celeste as an early ripening varieties. Any suggestion as to which might be preferable in my area. I'm located in zone 5 southern NH. First frost is end of September early October most years. I'm not really concerned about winter hardiness since nothing will survive outside, and will be hauled into the cellar come November.

Welcome to the forum John...

Welcome to the forum John.

I know nothing of Papa John, except for the dude that makes pizza.  Welcome from Southern California!

The Papa John is an excellent fig and I only have had it for a year now so I don't know if it produces breba or not. The PFTP O'Rourke is actually some form of Improved Celeste which is also excellent and fairly early. I am in Zone 5B so growing conditions are similar. I hope this helps a little.
