here they are. they look little down due to transit, however, all have very strong roots and i'm looking forward to three great additions to my collection.

I passed on purchasing Salce because the figs are so small and delicate looking. I am searching for good commercial varieties, but I think in a couple of years (when everyone is raving and my other figs are established) I will probably be looking to make a trade. Good luck with them.

it wasn't a purchase. was given to me freely. and i will send the cuttings out freely when the time comes. when a fig is said to be reserved for the table and others given to pigs.. it's well worth trying. :)

ha ha Pete............I like the manner it was put across "reserved for the table & pigs".
I know I m a pig when comes to eating fresh tasty figs.

Give the new arrivals some humidity treatment like a plastic bag over them & they will perk up well.

thanks, paul. i forgot to cover it with plastic.. i'll have to get that done when i get home today. i put them in new soil, and cut the drided leaves off.. the tip seems to be alive and well.

i had few request for Salce.

right now, i have one sucker/sappling and two cuttings of Salce. they are very small. providing they grow well with TLC, they should have cuttings in fall/winter of 2013. i'm not sure how fast they grow. if they grow really fast, i might have couple of cuttings this year.

once the cuttings are available, i will post on the forum as to how many cuttings are there. it will go out in order of PM i get once the thread is posted.

Pete, I am glad your plants are doing well . I was thinking of you today when I ate my first paradiso nero of the year. That fig was huge and ripe, the only fig on the tree that was bigger than the rest. I thought about it after I ate it. I should have taken a picture of it. Oh well, there will be a lot more.

thanks mario. the suckers you have sent are both putting out buds and Paradiso is putting out leaves. the cuttings are also putting on the buds. i think they will all make it.

i can't wait to taste the figs on these. :)
