Parisienne?

http://figs4fun.com/Var_P_info.html#PARISIENNE

Curious if this has any synonyms we would have in the US?  Looks amazingly dark.  What is it about french figs that makes them look so tasty?  ;)

Also, Jon, if you're reading, the Panevino white and dark aren't hyperlinked propery, nor spelled properly, possibly the pan e vino as well.

Violette Sollies is a synonym as well as Brogiotto Nero.

If Violette Sollies and Brogiotto Nero are its synonyms then Bourjasotte Noire is another synonym since it is synonym of Violette de Solleis.

Believe me you all may have many more varieties with you from the books than you can believe.

Hi Jason,
looking at that fig picture it seems the fig is very dark "perhaps" from the camera. When i take many shots of a fig i like to post some come out like that cause of the lighting or settings on camera and i sort through them to find the one that "my eyes" are actually seeing to present to forum.
One might think its crazy but i take 10 plus pictures to get the one that looks most close to what i'm actually seeing and sometimes more to get the angle that looks best.

I enjoyed what Ottawan mentioned in his post and not mentioned much.

Yes indeed Ottawan !
also if one follows the synonms little further from PARISEINNE to
Violette de Solleis and even further  Brown Turkey comes around !
Keeps going and going.
Now im not knocking Brown Turkey at all matter of fact it was 1 of my first figs i had and a decent fig here grown in yard until old man winter did it in when stored in my shed.

That is only half the number of synonyms for some others like Blanche where Jon gave up after listing 34 synonyms in the varietal section of Fig4Fun.
So, if Salomone has one Blanche, he is a proud collector with 35 varieties to start with!!
Just Fun4Fun...

I must say I genuinely enjoyed this thread, and thanks for chipping in.

Akram, you gave me my first laugh for the day ;)  Thanks!

Violette de Solleis indeed.  One more to add to the short list of things I'm interested in.  Worried it would split in the southeast, though.

Possibly, add the name "Parsotta" - (GM#12;  for those who have it).

I know from childhood that it is one heck of a (1 crop - mid Aug) fig...

Only your GM fig I have is Malta Purple Red (GM #4?)

MPR = GM#1.

[another;  heck-good-fig].

Thanks, I forget (hence the "?" at end)

Tough to keep track, you have a lot of figs ;)
