Pastillier and its origin

While searching the various websites about Pastillier, I noticed that some mention its origin as Japan (Hirta du Japon; Adriano) but many others call it an early fig from France. Is there a merging point for the two mentioned origins.
Any insight will be appreciated about its origin and if it really is an early ripening fig. It will be of interest to me if it has proven to be 'early ripening'.

Im not positive and we both probably read similar things that being said personally i would say Japan but grown abundantly in France for its characteristics seems like we do not hear as much about figs in japan but hear a lot from Italy, France and so forth.
I also have this type and hope to learn more in seasons to come in my climate . Another you might look into for Supposedly being early is Ronde De Bordeaux and Negretta i have them and will report in future .
Another type i have from asia that im trying to learn about and will also post in future can be seen by clicking my screen name .
