Peat Pellet propagation

Been trying several different cuttings propagation techniques this Winter and was reminded of using peat pellets by a F4F member who recently joined.
I know Martin and maybe others have posted about this in the past.
Just thought I'd mention it again as it has helped with rooting a couple of varieties that have been hard for me to root otherwise.
I bought a couple of 36 count boxes of Jiffy Pellet Refills and put one pellet into  each cell of a 6 pack container, soaked in water for a few hours or until fully expanded, then stuck in a cutting. Usually only one node gets covered by the peat pellet.  The 6 packs get put into a clear tub for higher humidity  and I think I've watered every 2 weeks or so .I've been doing this mostly with small or short cuttings and been surprised with the very good percentage of takes. When roots show on the outside of the pellet , I pot into my 3"  deep pots.
Rooting seems faster in general than my regular shoe box with sphagnum moss approach.
Anyone else using peat pellet propagation for figs and happy with it ?

Yes i posted about them in april of 2010.
Used coir as another experiment.
Was all fun back then.
