per accuweather the night temp will be in 30's by end of feb.

that means i need to get going with root pruning and repotting by sometime early march.. i need a second job.. LOL

This winter has been a lot colder than last year for us.  A couple of mild days, but overall a cold winter so far.  Glad I decided to protect my tree this year.  Today's highs are in the 20s and WINDY.

Please remember that weather forecasts are only reliable to a 5-6 days time. Forecasts for 2 weeks have sometimes not higher than 50 % accuracy. 30 day forecasts are only at experimental stage. So don't worry too early. This winter is cold in Europe too, but recently we have cold winters in Europe every year.

Hey Figgy Frank

I was thinking the same thing (glad I covered) this morning. This week the weather and temperatures have been really crazy. From Tuesday through Wednesday we had a tropical surge that raised mid-day temps to high 60's, then a massive front moved in, dropped inches of rain, and then a snow squall this morning. Ive attached a quick picture of my Hardy Chicago all tucked in and protected from the extreme temps, and one of the predicted highs and lows for this area of Maryland for the next few days.

Perhaps spring will come fast for some and maybe not for others .

Here March 12th 2012 was the earliest ever for the figs to go out *fig shuffle* on driveway but then it got cold.
In past we got snow first week of April but no big deal i still get them out in March to slowly get them out of there deep sleep despite them being put back in many times daily at night.
